Let the Lizzie McGuire Quotes Begin

This is a travel blog!

I’m not in Rome yet. I’m in Georgia on a layover (and not Rome, Georgia, which does exist). This counts as traveling though, so now seems like the proper time to start blogging. Also because I'm bored.

I’m so excited that I'm officially on my way! It’s too late to go back because my biggest bag is already checked and all of my sweatpants are in there.

There’s not much to report thus far except that I accidentally thought the mini hair conditioner I packed was body lotion. In my defense, I slept from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. and was already in the car on the way to LAX at 4:00.

Am I supposed to treat this differently than my regular journal? Sorry. I’m sure I’ll have more interesting things to say when I’m not in Georgia. This blog is 90% for myself anyway and 30% for my mother (20% overlap).

I will admit that, while I do own it, I haven’t actually read The Innocents Abroad. It was just the first blog name that came to mind and seemed appropriate as I am generally considered innocent (whatever that means) and I will for sure be the abroad part. Plus I am innocent in that I've never been to Italy before. However, if The Innocents Abroad contains a passage of racist devil-worshipping violence or something, tell me and I'll change the title to "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County."

Because my laptop is already dying, I’m going to try to say one more thing and then I’ll deal with my boredom by playing Temple Run. I played for most of the last plane ride and only stopped because I felt uncomfortable about the fact that the guy next to me was aware of my game duration. But I digress.

When I was little, I would wake up early on Saturday mornings to watch Samantha Brown in Europe on the Travel Channel. That’s embarrassing, but whatever. (If you don’t think it’s embarrassing, then you don’t know how not little I mean when I say I was little.) Anyway, I was so enchanted with Europe that I enjoyed watching some random lady with a stupid haircut talk about how much her hotel cost in Rome. Btw- I’m pretty sure it was a ton because that one was modern and weird and the entire hall was lime green. Now I am actually traveling to Italy myself! I was going to say now I'm finally traveling to Italy myself but, as I admitted, it hasn’t been that long.

In other news: there is a Caribou at the Atlanta airport. Do with that information what you will. The people in the international terminal are mostly fancy business men, so all around surprisingly high rating for Georgia.

Next time I write I will be in Europe! w00pw00p

P.S. I’m going to try to use the word “blog” as infrequently as possible because every time I type it I think of a bored bug barfing. As much as I enjoy alliterations, the visual is bad. Blisteringly brutal and blatantly bothersome. blogblogblog. Now it's out of my system forever. blog.
